The balance of introvert and extrovert: Ambivert

Is there such a thing as being introverted with an extrovert personality? This seems more of a personal question because everyone is different. I have never been seen as an introvert, but that’s because I have learned enough about myself that I have a balance of introvert and extrovert characteristics.   --"But Jenna, you are so good around people, have a large social network, thrive in crowds, and seek stimulation in your life, all qualities of being an extrovert.” --The correct term for myself is: Ambivert   I enjoy the presence of others, but I need time to be alone to recharge my social battery. I am outgoing in the right context while being subtle in other situations. I work well with others but also prefer working alone. I can process my thoughts and feelings internally or out loud. Being an ambivert is like running on a half battery. My personality confuses people. While I enjoy being alone, I am very outgoing and social. I can be loud or quiet. I like...

The power of music

One constant in my life has always been music. While my taste of music may have changed over the years, my connection and attachment to music have never wandered. When I say it has always been a constant, I mean I have been playing, singing, or listening to music since before I can remember.   My musical background: I started taking piano lessons in 2 nd grade which lasted until middle school when things became too hectic with sports, classes, and extracurriculars. Along with playing, I began to sing in t...

Self-Manifestation

Do you believe in manifestations, or are you okay with thinking what's going to happen will happen? Maybe you just haven't been introduced to self-manifestations.  Self-manifestation: focusing your thoughts on a desired outcome to bring it to reality -- "Jenna, this doesn't make any sense." -- Stick with me. It's a real thing.  This idea dates back to ancient spiritual teachings in the Hindu culture, where they focused on your mind, body, and the universe all being unified. In the past 5 years, social media has influenced "manifestations" on common sites like Tiktok and Pinterest. It's cool to think about how you want your life to be in the future! So, speak what you desire. Put it into the universe!  When I tell you I am a Pinterest wiz, it's no joke. Some people scroll through Facebook or watch TikTok, but I get on Pinterest. I'm sure you have seen or heard the manifestation: "I'm so lucky everything works out for me." Ha...
